Hi itsme,

There is a newer 2.6.27-10.20 kernel in intrepid-proposed that you might
want to test to see if it helps. To test this kernel do the following:

1) cd /etc/apt/sources.list.d
2) create a file "intrepid-proposed.list" (ie sudo vim intrepid-proposed.list)
which contains the following two lines:

deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ intrepid-proposed main
deb-src http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ intrepid-proposed main

3) sudo apt-get update
4) sudo apt-get install linux-image-2.6.27-10-generic
5) sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/intrepid-proposed.list
6) sudo apt-get update

Steps 5 and 6 basically undo the enabling of intrepid-proposed so you're
not constantly updating your system with packages from intrepid-
proposed. Of course you'll finally need to reboot into the 2.6.27-10.20
kernel to test. Please let us know your results. If the issue still
exists, I'll try to work with you to narrow down the bad patch. You may
also want to take a look at
