OK, I've resolved the problem by ensuring the Ubuntu modules are added in Synaptic. So there's something that wasn't automatically added when the update took place. I'm assuming it was the Ubuntu modules:
linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24-22-generic (installed version 2.6.24-22.35) I went into Synaptic (and in my case) enabled all of the packages that were related to both '2.6.24-22' and 'generic' (since my system is SMP enabled) and I now have audio working with the 2.6.24-22 version of the kernel. Under the modules' description there's a note about selecting the linux- generic meta-package, so I also have installed: linux-generic linux-image-generic -- USB Audio stops working after kernel update 2.6.24-22 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/303220 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
