Hello Teej. I installed 8.04 LTS on my Averatec 3225H by first installing 6.06 LTS and then upgrading. It's a long way.
I COULD NOT do a direct install. There is an extensive Q and A about install problem of 8.04 on an Averatec 3200-series computer here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=930121 As you see, there are two problems: (1) getting x-windows to work, (2) starting 8.04 after installation.
