This is a serious bug. I experienced it with the generic kernel a good while ago and managed to get around it by compiling my own kernel from kernel.org.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ uname -a Linux localhost 2.6.23.9 #1 PREEMPT Fri Dec 7 07:16:40 WET 2007 i686 GNU/Linux So, I'm still using Ubuntu 7.10 with this kernel and maybe I'm missing all kinds of security upgrades. Not good. PS This other kernel also solves bug #43092, which is also alive and kicking. -- Heavy network activity (eg: torrent/nfs file transfers) causes Hard System Locks and/or Network Freezes. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/147464 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
