Disabling compiz effects:

'System' > 'Preferences' > 'Appearance' (I'm not sure bcause I'm using an 
spanish version :) )
Instead in shell: 'gnome-appearance-properties'

Then you can go to 'Visual Effects' and the first option 'Disabla' or
'None'.

This is not going to solve de 20-30% or more of xorg usage but it's
going to make ubuntu 'usable', i mean, you can work with it but not
solving the problem really... I'm still 'working' on the problem...
