I just hacked a patch for this bug. Not the most elegant way but works perfect. 
I just check whether ntfs-3g filesystem causes the error, then propose running 
"gksudo ntfsfix /dev/sdxx" and user can decide if he wants to execute it.
Maybe an acceptable workaround for some of you (at least for me^^)
