Since it's a pretty common network card in a pretty common dual-boot
configuration, yet nobody else has reported this problem, it may or may
not be a bug. It might be, for example, a misconfiguration or hardware
problem specific to your system. But since it prevents network access to
you right now, I would classify it higher than 'wishlist'.

Please try these in order, and test for connectivity after each step.

1) Please open a terminal window and run 'sudo dpkg --configure
dhcp3-common' and then 'sudo dpkg --configure dhcp3-client'. Then try
your network connection.

2) If that doesn't work, then please try powering off your system (and
unplug it, if possible) for 30 seconds. Then restart and try your
network connection.

3) If that doesn't work, open a terminal window and try 'sudo dhclient
eth0' (assuming 'eth0' is the name of your interface) and try your
network connection.

4) If that doesn't work, then please attach (don't paste) the following files
to this bug report:
/etc/dhcp3/dhclient.conf
/var/lib/dhcp3/dhclient.leases

/etc/hostname

Of one of the steps works, please close the bug report (or tell me and I
will close it for you).
