I'll try to help however I can. This is my first time doing a HAL debug! :)
Test info: - I restarted the t2010. - Gnome opened, logged in - I did the HAL recording. - I did do some copy misc copy commands, a few lines did scroll while I did it. - I proceeded to fn+F6 (dim) twice and fn+f7 (brighten) about twice. - A pane did popup that detected the brightening/dimming (from gnome?) however, the screen did not change. - Closed.
