Public bug reported:

Choose either Microphone or Line-in as the source. Doesn't matter
what's the source.

If I choose to record as "CD-Quality FLAC" format, all stereo (which
plays beautifully in stereo thru the speakers while recording!!) is
recorded as mono-audio. You don't even have to save to file. Simply
play back the recorded audio thru sound-recorder application immediately
after recording.

Work around: choose "Voice-Quality (WAV Format)" instead and recording
is just fine.

Just goes to prove the "focus" of Ubuntu ? :-)
-- that's its intended as a drop-in replacement to windows, and not a
ready-to-use system for OSS oldtimers? :-)

** Affects: sound-recorder (Ubuntu)
