I think the true problem lies in that when one has a mixed document
(text and graphics), the user must use color cartridges because of the
graphics, but the text ends up printed with the color cartridge, even
when using "Color+Black Cartr." in PrintoutMode.

The driver should use both cartridges in this case, or the printer would
use just CMY instead of CMYK and the text would be grayed out.
