First, it's not clear from your report that this is actually an X bug; the fact that restarting X makes the issue temporarily go away is interesting, however that could as easily be because you're restarting vmware or citrix, and nothing really to do with X.
Second, if you're seeing application crashes, you should attach a backtrace of one of these crashes. That will show what component(s) are involved. You should also try to isolate the problem by trying to reproduce it with just vmware, and no citrix, or other combinations so you can tell exactly what steps are required to cause the problem. I'm reassigning to the kernel for now since it sounds more likely to be a kernel issue than X. However it could be vmware or some other thing at fault... hard to say. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: xorg => linux -- Application crashes when pushing buttons https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/282800 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
