Right now, I actually happen to be trying out 2.6.2.28 from jaunty, so I
got this version signature:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ cat /proc/version_signature

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ cat /proc/version
Linux version 2.6.28-1-ub-generic ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) (gcc version 4.3.3 
20081122 (prerelease) (Ubuntu 4.3.2-2ubuntu4) ) #1 SMP Wed Nov 26 19:15:48 UTC 
2008

And it still happens in that kernel, if that is enough to confirm that
the bug is still there.

But OK, I will try with this proposed kernel as well for a few boots and
update here if the problem still occurs.
