Public bug reported:

I'm not sure which package this is in:

I have a lenovo x60 tablet, which has an intel wireless card, with a hardware
kill switch.
I'm running kubuntu 8.04, 64 bit.

The problem is, using the kill switch causes multiple processes to go
into an uninterpretable sleep (disk I/O sleep)

Steps to reproduce:

1. Upon booting, wireless card works normally, and can access internet.
2. Switch the hardware kill switch. The wireless LED goes off.
3. Switch the kill switch back. The LED comes back on, but the card is
unusable. In a process manager, the iwl3945 process is marked as being in 'D'
state.
4. Attempts to use 'sudo' also immediately go into a 'D' state
5. Attempt to shut down, or suspend, computer. Computer begins to shut down,
but does not complete it.
6. upon hard power-down and reboot, the card works normally again.
