I did not mean to know the details of what is really the problem. It is simply what you told me: the version of hubackup I have (0.0.2) has the bug I opened, and the solution is to upgrade to 0.0.6, but before I would need to upgrade my linux to Edgy.
As of today (I checked on the http://packages.ubuntu.com/ site): the hubackup version available for dapper is 0.0.2. The hubackup version available for edgy is 0.0.6. Hope this answers your question.
