I have not had this problem with the new version. The problem seems to have been caused by me changing the hostname and domain of the system incorrectly. Once everything was put back to the original Apt began to install properly again.

You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance. -- Adept Version Upgrade stalls at the point of installing packages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/153968 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. Status in “update-manager” source package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Binary package hint: adept-updater Currently running Kubuntu Gutsy Beta 1. Start Adept 2. Update Sources - Version Upgrade button is displayed 3. Click Version Upgrade 4. Click through prompts 5. Updater installs, source lists are updated, updates are downloaded 6. Step 4 of the upgrade is the installation of the packages that were downloaded. This is where the process fails. Nothing happens and the progress never moves from 0% - it just hangs. -- Adept Version Upgrade stalls at the point of installing packages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/153968 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
