Hi IanW and Kiran!
I can confirm this bug on ubuntu 8.10 i386. During startup it hangs and then I can see "Starting NFS common utilities [fail]" "Starting NFS kernel daemon [fail]". Everything else (like portmap, cups, ...) is starting with [OK]. About three minutes later the Gnome Desktop appears but the nfs-mounts are missing. So I need to run "sudo mount -a". It is pretty strange because restarting nfs-kernel and nfs-common (sudo /etc/init.d/nfs-common restart) manually works just fine. uname -a --> 2.6.27-9-generic ** Attachment added: "dmesg; syslog; lspci" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/20267859/dmesg_lspci_syslog.tar.gz -- Ibex hangs on NFS loading during bootup. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/294563 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
