Hi IanW and Kiran!

I can confirm this bug on ubuntu 8.10 i386.
During startup it hangs and then I can see "Starting NFS common utilities
[fail]" "Starting NFS kernel daemon [fail]". Everything else (like portmap,
cups, ...) is starting with [OK]. About three minutes later the Gnome Desktop
appears but the nfs-mounts are missing. So I need to run "sudo mount -a".

It is pretty strange because restarting nfs-kernel and nfs-common (sudo
/etc/init.d/nfs-common restart) manually works just fine.

uname -a --> 2.6.27-9-generic
