Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: listen
I've just switched to using listen as a music player. I like it a lot
apart from one very annoying 'feature', which is that it randomly adds
extra songs to the end of the playlists I have chosen whether I want it
to or not. There is a configuration option ('play a random file when the
playlist is empty') which is supposed to turn this off, I think, but it
doesn't seem to make any difference. A friend of mine has had the same
problem, and has stopped using it because of this. It's nearly enough to
make me look for another player, but I am sticking with it because I
like the interface, so could someone please sort this out. I am going to
have a quick look at the source to see if it is easy to remove this
feature, but I probably don't know the code well enough to do this
properly, so it would be good if one of the developers could have a look
at this.
cheers, andy baxter.
