Rajinder, could you please avoid to submit the same report multiple
times. It creates useless work and we are only a small bunch of triagers
to deal with these reports. This is the same issue as in bug 305892 .
Did you tried the workaround provided there.
This is a known bug in dpkg which is fixed in the latest release.
