Using Hardy Heron kernel 2.6.24-22 64 bit. Also occurs with Jaunty Jackalope
kernel 2.6.28-2. I'm trying to extract an archived term.log file in terminal:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ cd /var/log/apt
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/var/log/apt$ ls
term.log term.log.1.gz term.log.2.gz term.log.3.gz term.log.4.gz
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/var/log/apt$ sudo tar xzf term.log.1.gz
[sudo] password for kevin:
tar: This does not look like a tar archive
tar: Skipping to next header
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/var/log/apt$
