Forgot to mention I was speaking about network printer

** Changed in: system-config-printer (Ubuntu)
       Status: Incomplete => New

** Summary changed:

- Don't show the whole list of drivers if printer autodetected
+ Don't show the whole list of drivers if the choosen network printer is
autodetected

** Description changed:

Most of the people want to use the default driver for their printer
(and, anyway, don't have the knowledge to know what driver they can
  use).

When a printer with a default driver is detected, it should be immediate
- to use that. You should not have to click three times on "next".
+ to use that. You should not have to click three times on "next". Which
+ is what happens when you add a network printer.

I suggest that, in the screen allowing you to choose another driver or a
custom PPD, the default radio button should be a new entry : "use the
recommanded driver for this printer" (with the name)

I would even go a bit further : this screen should not appear at all if
there's an autodetected driver ! Indeed, an user who want to use another
driver can easily add the printer and then change the driver in the
  properties window.
