Public bug reported:
Hi,
I have a Sony Vaio VGN-NR32M, and no sound is available whilst using
Ubuntu 0804. It is all up to date using official Ubuntu sources.
I have tried loading snd-hda-intel with the model=vaio parameter to no
avail. This has also been tested by unloading the module with no X
running, and reloading it with modprobe snd-hda-intel model=vaio.
I have also applied options snd-hda-intel model=vaio to /etc/modprobe.d
/alsa-base
The volume is up, and the following command yields nothing
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# aplay /usr/share/sounds/KDE_Beep_Honk.wav

When snd-hda-intel is being loaded, the following is generated in dmesg

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
