devel/2008-October/011332.html and http://mailman.alsa-
project.org/pipermail/alsa-devel/2008-October/011455.html, the audio
controller is supported in 2.6.27 (Intrepid) but there's a bug in the
HDMI, which is fixed in Takashi's tree and I think should be in 2.6.28
(Jaunty).

I don't really know what HDMI is though.  So I don't know if that means
it should be working for analogue out but not digital out, or if that
explains the no-sound-at-all thing.

Have you buy any chance disabled any modules/drivers?  I notice that no
sound drivers are loaded according to your alsa-info.sh output.
