Public bug reported:
The ubuntu 6.10 i386 installer program do not come with the bcm43xx
driver firmware.
I understand the license issues with this, but the installer just think
everything is working. I try to "iwconfig eth1 essid [myname]" at
console 2 during installation and it fails. The installer must at least
tell that something went wrong.
The ideal would be for it to auto download / get (from a CD or floppy)
the firmware and install it correctly. Or easier, tell the user what to
to if it is the case.
This is a common wireless device, I believe many people suffer from it.
