Public bug reported:

I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid in Japanese. With today's system update,
clock displays the date in a wrong format. The kanji (ideogram) for day
is missing and the kanji for month appears 2 times (one in a wrong
position). Till yesterday the date format was correct. I attach 2
screenshots with the present situation and how it should be. Please
report this to the japanese translator and fix the bug if possible.

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
