Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: ubuntu-desktop
When installing Edgy (ubuntu-6.10-desktop-i386, and for that matter
Dapper) on either of my ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard based RAID
controllers, installation proceeds for a bit but then fails. After
downloading gpart, the installation's partitioning program sees the
array, begins installation and then crashes. This motherboard contains
two "fake-raid" controllers: a four-port Sil 3114 SATA and an nvidia
pata/sata controller. I attempted multiple times to install on two disk
RAID 1 arrays to no avail.
** Affects: ubuntu-meta (Ubuntu)
