Some questions about the hardware: * What system is this? * How much memory do you have? * When the freeze occurs, will the keyboard still work? You can test this by hitting the Num-Lock or Caps-Lock and see if the light goes on and off. Can you switch to a terminal window using Ctrl+Alt+F2? Alt+F7 gets you back to the desktop. * Does this happen with the LiveCD? You could download the desktop cd to test this here: http://cdimages.ubuntu.com/xubuntu/releases/8.04.1/release/
Thanks in advance. -- Whenever I sidescroll on Firefox, Xubuntu seems to just freeze up and the only way I could get out of it was a hard shut down. I have the latest updates installed. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/282297 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
