Public bug reported:
Since upgrading to Intrepid I'm experiencing intermittent freezes, during which
my computer becomes completely unresponsive, and also times when it just
becomes slow and audio that is playing will stutter, the mouse will be
jerky...etc. However, after a few seconds (about 5 to 60) it unfreezes. After
the longer freezes I usually notice SATA errors in the syslog, which I've
included.
This appears to be a regression from 2.6.24, since I do not have this issue if
I boot from the kernel that is left over from Hardy (2.6.24-21.43)
If you need more information I'll be happy to provide it. If I boot up
with the 2.6.27 kernel I get freezes every hour or so.
