Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: update-manager
I think this is actually a pile of bugs with the update-manager/synaptic
dynamic duo. I'm not a coder, but I have been testing music and graphics
packages, and it is possible that the frequent exchange of libraries has messed
things up. The interesting bits I've added lately are Compiz-Fusion, and some
OpenOffice plug-ins. I also tried some music Tracker programs and JACK Plugins
- JACKRack, JACK Mix.
I should know better than to split the difference between recording and testing
systems, but I'm hoping I can eventually help people find the straight path
through the battlefield.
I've read elsewhere that it's a good idea to try a second update before
restarting. If I'm not back in half an hour, tell my girlfriend...
