In the English version of Dapper's man page for useradd, there is no
"-n" option.

compare with dpkg -l given above (which gives version 4.0.13-7, not
4.0.13-7ubuntu3.1 ):

dpkg -l passwd
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
| Status=Not/Installed/Config-files/Unpacked/Failed-config/Half-installed
|/ Err?=(none)/Hold/Reinst-required/X=both-problems (Status,Err: uppercase=bad)
||/ Name                              Version
Description
+++-=================================-=================================-==================================================================================
ii  passwd                            4.0.13-7ubuntu3.1                 change
and administer password and group data

The bug apparently relates to the French version of the useradd manpage,
which lists a "-n" option, when it shouldn't.
