The error messages I have noticed are almost the same you have reported Paul :

And as I mentionned in answer to the question i previously refered to,
when coming back from suspend to ram, the process stops to a black
graphical screen with movable cursor - but nothing more - and when i
switch to a console by hitting CTRL+ALT+F1 the terminal is filled with
the above error messages.
