Public bug reported:
This particular bug has been with me since Hardy but it was so close to
Intrepid Release I thought I would wait and see if the problem resolved
itself. It did not.
I Have HDA INTEL SigmaTel STAC9271X
I can select the input source as shown in the attached picture however
once I close the Mixer and re-open it they are again unchecked.
I have tried all 3 microphone ports on my computer to no avail.
In the volume control if analog loopback is checked all I hear is
static. The rest of my sound works fine it is only my microphone which
will not work.
I have tried running alsamixer through the terminal and was not able to
fix anything.
