Public bug reported:

currently using 8.04 ubuntu, with gcc,g++ latest version

I have a dummy c program sending out serial string out to a serial port. i.e.
/dev/ttyS0
when this application is exec from the terminal in side ubuntu, every works ok.
but when i try to run it on boot up, i.e. place a command or script in rc.local
or using as a startup application in session. the application do not run. I
have used absolute command to call the scrpt and application.

I realise that as long as my application contain serial coms, it will
have this problem.

I have tried the same set up before and it work on a installation in
7.04, g++-4.1

please advice
