The new version will be released in Jaunty. You can request a backport if you want the new version (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuBackports#How%20to%20request%20new%20packages). Anyway, I've just uploaded the new Jaunty's version to my ppa, so that you can install it (https://launchpad.net/~fabricesp/+archive/+index#)
