As lately as this weekend, my laptop's audio worked fine, however it has
recently stopped working for no apparent reason. The volume control buttons
above the keyboard work fine and make noise and the on screen volume display
appears, however no audio program will generate any sound whatsoever. Also in
my dmesg is this:
[17179604.388000] cs46xx: failure waiting for FIFO command to complete
I don't know if it is new or relevant. Did any automatic upgrades happen
recently? What else could've broken it?
