Thank you for your bug report. However, what you describe is not a bug.
The dash shell is intended to be as POSIX compliant as possible. In the
POSIX compliant echo, the only argument treated as a special option is
"-n". The "-e" will be echoed just like any other argument.

This is documented in the dash man page.

Because of this, I'm going to close this report as invalid. Please feel
free to report any other issues you find.
