Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
firefox crashes randomly, and completely silently (i.e., one moment it's there, then it's just gone, no error messages, or anything) this happens infrequently enough (maybe once a week), that it's not that great of a problem, but a problem it is. due to its relatively low frequency, i also have not been able to figure out exactly what actions cause this. it /seems/ that it may be when i place my cursor and/or start typing in the url bar. I wanted to try generating a backtrace in gdb, but i am not sure if these instructions that i found are current for intrepid: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Bugs#head-c576e78d92cb3c959c271158b6ace98be835de83 the page only speaks about hardy, and when i looked in the repos for any firefox dbg packages, i didn't find any. i would appreciate some current info on how to generate the gdb backtrace, so that i can attach it to this bug report. this is on intrepid, with firefox from the repos.
