Hi Brian---just clearing my year, really, this bug is still bugging me ... Do you have any idea why it is still "incomplete" and/or why whether anything is being done or likely to be done about it?
I am not sure it should be re-opened; I submitted it not so much to fix my own problem as because it seemed so strange, and possibly symptomatic of a bigger issue: why on earth should xorg behave differently when running from the live-CD than when running from the hard disk? Thx!---Henri On Fri, Sep 5, 2008 at 7:34 AM, Brian Murray <[email protected]> wrote: > ** Tags added: valid-xorg-conf > > -- > [HARDY] LiveCD OK, but xorg doesn't start after install > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/254844 > You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber > of the bug. > > Status in "xserver-xorg-video-openchrome" source package in Ubuntu: Incomplete > > Bug description: > Have laptop sold in South Africa with the following label: > > euroTEK > Model Name: euroTEK M360-UC > > VGA adaptor according to lspci: > ubu...@ubuntu:~$ lspci -nn | grep VGA > 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: VIA Technologies, Inc.
