Could someone answer Sebatien Bacher's question (added pointers to make clear what he wants): "does changing system -> preferences -> sounds, music and video to use alsa and stopping pulseaudio make a difference?" (And also which graphic chip + which driver you use)
I really think this is not not a firefox bug, but an Xorg bug, and maybe a rhythmbox but, if it happens only with that software.
