Binary package hint: hplip
tried this on three different computers running ubuntu intrepid.
I can print to connected printers via net (laserjet), via USB (deskjet),
and via parallel (deskjet), but HP-Device Manager reports "No installed
HP Devices Found". I can manually define the USB port, where lsusb does
list the printer, and hplip still does not find it.
Yet printing works, however, I can not clean the printheads of the
deskjet, as the button is greyed out.
