The drive is an external 250 gb usb harddrive. It is what's appearing as
Western Digital... in the output above.

Here's the file system layout:

I do however also have another external harddrive, but the error happens
with it attached as well. I will try to connect that one instead and see
if the problem is device-agnostic, or if it is a problem with that
actual drive.
