The drive is an external 250 gb usb harddrive. It is what's appearing as Western Digital... in the output above. Here's the file system layout: Disk /dev/sdb: 320.0 GB, 320072933376 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 38913 cylinders Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes Disk identifier: 0x44fdfe06 Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sdb1 1 38904 312496348+ 83 Linux /dev/sdb2 38905 38913 72292+ 5 Extended /dev/sdb5 38905 38913 72261 b W95 FAT32 I do however also have another external harddrive, but the error happens with it attached as well. I will try to connect that one instead and see if the problem is device-agnostic, or if it is a problem with that actual drive. -- 1 in 10 boots freeze with kernel panic if USB-disk is left connected https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/302994 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
