Public bug reported: My computer is a Thinkpad T500 with the Intel WiMAX/WiFI Link 5350 card. I am running Ubuntu 8.10 (latest 2.6.27-9 kernel).
lspci detects the card as "03:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Device 423b". http://www.intellinuxwireless.org/ suggests that the iwlagn driver should be used, but it is not loaded automatically. No network interface is created for the device. Kernel mailing list traffic <http://lkml.org/lkml/2008/10/10/475> suggests that the 2.6.28 kernel might solve this issue - one of the patches is listed as "iwlwifi: update 5350 Wifi PCI IDs." It <http://markmail.org/message/qecwaopuy432u6id> seems to include the PCI ID of my specific card, as well as others. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Intel WiMAX/WiFi Link 5350 not properly detected https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/308848 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
