Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: debian-installer

 * Chosen keyboard layout not in effect during installation. (pt)

 * Partitioning step was where things got wild.
    - Confusing screen. First option labeled "0" with the others being labeled
"guided*". I guess the first option is meant to be labeled "Manual
partitioning".
    - Had a hard time getting to the manual partitioning screen, after trying
to "Go back" several times I managed to get to it.
    - My hard drive is now reported to be the device /dev/sda. This is the
first time on this laptop with any Linux distrribution. Usually detected as
/dev/hda.
    - Related to the previous item, during the partitioning i change the
current console and a line clearly read that ide-* modules were not found. The
module ata_piix seems to be handling my hard drive with no problems. (feature?)

 * Maybe due to the previous item, grub refused to install to /dev/sda1:
    - Output seems to read that grub-install couldn't find a "BIOS handler".

I'm attaching some files.
