Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution
I have found evolution crashes hangs or segfaults while managing contacts. When moving a contact from one address book to another, if evolution prompts to merge there is a high likely hood it will segfault or hang. Sometimes it just hangs using 100% cpu and the process must be killed or it will output the following: (evolution:8467): libglade-WARNING **: could not find widget creation function Segmentation fault In either case the contact which was being moved is lost and is not merged into the existing one and is removed from the original address book. This does not seem to happen every time, but upwards of 90% of the time. I have been doing many tests reloading a saved address book and moving again to see what exact conditions this occurs in but it seems to be completely random. Doing the same steps sometimes it works but most of the time fails. Open to suggestions on things to try.
