I've tested the kvm patch and it seems to work well. I attached a usb
flash disk, and was able to read/write to/from it in the kvm guest.
Note that I did have to adjust the device permissions accordingly.
Reading the (lengthy) history above, that is apparently a separate issue
that should be dealt with outside of this kvm patch.
I'm requesting sponsorship of this patch, please.
