Hi Bryce, I gave gdm another try today, still the same behaviour. This is how I test:
sudo /etc/init.d/xdm stop sudo dpkg-reconfigure gdm # Select gdm as default display manager sudo /etc/init.d/gdm start # gdm fails to start X Thanks, B.
