Public bug reported:
cups_1.3.9-2ubuntu4_i386 was working fine. I upgraded to
cups_1.3.9-2ubuntu5_i386 and then some remote printing would not work.
Firefox web interface (localhost:631) prints the test page with no
problem to remote printer. However, printing to remote cups printer with
oowriter, kate, etc. fails. Error log on printer system shows no
problem. Printer starts to print but nothing comes out. I re-installed:
r...@velo:/var/cache/apt/archives# dpkg -i *cups*1.3.9*ubuntu4*deb
Problem went away.
Local printing was working fine with cups_1.3.9-2ubuntu5_i386.
Everything working fine now with cups_1.3.9-2ubuntu4_i386.
