Chris,
I am not sure. i got discouraged and uninstalled  ubuntu. With out the nivdia 
driver i was unable to view the screen properly, all the icons were over sized.

Which nvidia driver are you using? This is almost certainly a known bug
in the nvidia driver, I just need to know which driver package to
reassign it to.

the text arrears if i log in as a "GUEST"
otherwise no test in any dialogue boxes, too bars (in spread sheets their is no
