I have a dv4 with the same problem and I updated the BIOS to f.22, the current for my model, and the problem still exists. In fact, hibernation delivers the message:
ata2: exception Emask 0x10 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x0 action 0x9 t4 ata2: irq_stat 0x00000040, connection status changed ata1: exception Emask 0x10 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x0 action 0x9 t4 ata1: irq_stat 0x00000040, connection status changed before it completes and it takes 1.5 times longer to go into hibernation and resume.
