The bug where the artificats persists is a separate bug from transitory
appearance of white lines/blocks.
The transitory artifact issue is relatively well understood and the
necessary fix is understood and should be in the 0.4 release. This fix
_may_ end up mitigating the persistent artifact issue seen with certain
NVidia drivers but I would not count on it... as the persistent artifact
issue _is_ a different bug.
