Updating my Jaunty amd64 OS today dec. 20th, 2008:
Package update: xserver-xorg-input-wacom_1:0.8.1.6-1ubuntu1 to
1:0.8.1.6-1ubuntu2
kills my NetworkManager application (nm-applet). What happens -
Running mentioned update using wlan separately, because indicating same
malfunction on another Notebook, after finishing these update, the
NetworkManger-Applet indicates the >>total<< shutdown of the running
connections.
Using the special function-key (hardwired) providing on-off wlan
including LED (wlan-indicator) to the "off-position" (led will be
disabled) the network is connecting now and vice versa.
If neccessary - please provide informations, which logs would bring
further informations
